Ashei's Story part 17 - end

1 year and 11 months after I started on the first page of this, I finally finished ashei's story...
it's not really a hugely spectacular feat, by any means, but for someone like me who rarely finishes ANYTHING, it's enough cause for a celebration, just a tiny one.

looking back, this chapter really went through some big changes.
I initially intended this to be only a few pages long with the focus centering on an ending joke (which was originally going to be ashei going back to find her father, and her father realizing that she is a girl all along after seeing her big bust)
...ya, that would have probably been pretty tasteless.

so it's probably a good thing that after I had drawn the first three pages, I started brainstorming the possibilities for the past of other members of the resistance.
and I came up with stories for shad and auru's past, and finally decided to make this into a huge project with 4 chapters that deeply explores the history of the resistance.

unfortunately for ashei's story, I had to make drastic changes to turn it from a crude joke to something that holds a bit more meaning.
so in the end, this chapter doesn't exactly have a good flow to it, at least in my opinion... things feel way too rushed, and many things are not dealt with more deeply.
also, since this took so long to finish, there are some humongous consistency problem as I keep forgetting details such as the characters' clothing, little facts, and auru's beard (I'll fix later).

buuut, I'm just happy that I finished this chapter and can move on from it.
the next chapter is shad's story, I promise it will be more thought-out, planned-out, and consistent.
